Japan - All about the food...and drink!

Individual appetizer plates at a restaurant in Ioujima. First time I tried jelly fish.

Plum Sake. Oh heaven that was good! A little goes a long way. Too bad I didn't realize that until I had too much!

Sashimi platter

Best bowl of cherries I've ever had. Now I know why they cost so much.

Beer and munchies, Japanese style. Sure do miss that Asahi Clear. Still haven't been able to find it here in the States.

Organic cuisine

Fugu - Japanese blow fish. Deadliest feast?

I'll pass...

Boudoir themed yogurt shop. Too Cute!

Beer hall

Coffeehouse

Organic coffeehouse

Regional Seafood Ramen - Nagasaki style

Starbucks specialty - Coffee Jelly Frappuccino

Kaitenzushi - Sushi-go-round. A must in Japan.

Crepes

Department Store, Underground - A food lovers heaven

A lot of these 10 story department stores have one floor, usually below street level, that's all about food. These pictures hardly capture a thing, I don't even know why I'm blogging about it. Shameful. I guess I was too busy eating than thinking about taking photos. Anyways, You'd have to see it in person to even begin to understand what I'm talking about.

French pastries...

Sweet, sour, salty...

Jean Paul Gaultier for Evian...Water? Wonder what that's suppose to taste like?

Random food vendor

Soup kitchen

Ahh, Ramen...Harukiya style

Harukiya is a well known Ramen Eatery in Tokyo that's been around for years. If you're ever in Tokyo and want to check it out, here's a link...

Prices are pretty steep for a bowl of ramen ($10-$20 USD), but it's worth checking out at least once.

Okonomiyaki - Savory Japanese Pancake

Batter

Cooking it up on the teppan

Finish is off with some okonomiyaki sauce, mayonnaise, and dried bonito (fish flakes)

This one was served over yakisoba

Bakeries.

There's one of these on every street corner, shopping plaza, or mall. You can't miss it!

Sweet or Savory? Maple syrup toast or Spaghetti in a bun?

With a fried egg...

Pork cutlet...

Sausage...

Fish Eggs...

On the sweeter side, cream or bean filled buns.

McDonalds. I'm lovin' it!

One of the things that I try to do while visiting different Countries is eat at McDonalds. They always have something unique that you usually can't get back home.

Bacon Potato Pie. Now this was good! Why can't they make stuff like this in the States?

Teriyaki Burger. In all honesty, this one's better in the States.
